February Update

Once again I have been super busy.

I have been working on a bunch of other types of shit.

Working Hard or Hardly Working

I have never had a problem with doing work or staying busy.

I am just that kind of person I guess, that I find it harder to sit still than to keep busy doing stuff.

The last few weeks have been no exception, but I have been working on graphics, animations, automation, and music related stuff.

New Linux Distro

I started using a new Linux distro, CachyOS.

I had been using ArchLinux for years now, but I had become unhappy with it long-term. It becomes “crusty” after a while and eventually just needs a clean reinstall, so after a few years it was time to start fresh.

I switched to CachyOS and it has been great. It is based on Arch so it still has access to the AUR etc. but has much better and saner defaults. I also am using KDE Plasma which I always found to be nice but never really embraced as my daily driver.

I had been using various tiling window managers over the years and had a custom AwesomeWM setup for a long time, but I had become unhappy with it and was tired of having to tweak everything.

KDE Plasma offers tons of flexibility and customization so I am loving it. It is by far one of the best experiences on the Linux Desktop I have had.

Future Plans

I plan to pick back up my AI CLI project soon, and put it to some good use finally.

Now that I have a nice clean install to do work on again, I plan to get back into development.

Part of the point of this update for me is getting my workflows in order again on my new install. So future updates should hopefully have some more details and be less generic.
